Once you have searched for a vehicle's information the app automatically stores the retrieved data for future reference. Users can easily delete searches if desired.

RegoCheck VIC was built from personal experience. After having my own car stolen — and the thieves fitting it with different number plates — I realised how easy it is for a vehicle to appear legitimate when it's not. A quick rego check could be the difference between peace of mind and an expensive mistake.
I also created the app with businesses in mind — like mechanics, dealers and service centers — who handle a high volume of cars where a simple test drive could lead to legal trouble if the registration has expired or the vehicle is unregistered.
Using your phone’s camera or an image from your gallery, the app scans number plates and VINs, passes the data to Vicroads, retrieves the information and displays it in a clean, easy-to-read format. It also keeps a history of your searches — so no need to write anything down or re-type numbers. You can also easily share results directly from the app.
